Frank Knapp, Jr.

Director of Business for Democracy, American Sustainable Business Network

Frank Knapp Jr. is the president and CEO of the South Carolina Small Business Chamber of Commerce which he co-founded in the year 2000.  Since 2012 he has served on the Board of Directors of the American Sustainable Business Network.  In 2016 he launched a campaign, “Business Alliance for Protecting the Atlantic Coast”, to be the voice of East Coast businesses opposing offshore oil drilling in the Atlantic.  The successful campaign grew to represent over 42,000 businesses.  In 2021, he launched “Reform the SBA: BIGGER Mission, Authority and Resources”, a coalition of ASBN and other business organizations making recommendations to address the nation’s 40-year low in new business startups.  Several of the recommendations were included in the House version of the Build Back Better Act.
